1. Anagen (Growth Phase)

This is the longest phase, lasting 2–7 years. About 85–90% of scalp hairs are in this stage at any time. Hair actively grows as follicles push out strands until they’re cut or fall out naturally. The length of the anagen phase varies depending on the type of hair. Capixyl™ significantly increases the percentage of hair in the growth (anagen) phase.

3. Telogen (Resting Phase)

This 2–3 month phase involves no growth, but hair also doesn’t fall out. Around 10-15% of hairs are in this stage, while new hairs begin forming beneath the surface. Capixyl™ significantly decreases the percentage of hair in the telogen phase.

2. Catagen (Transition Phase)

4. Exogen (Shedding Phase)

Often considered an extension of telogen, this stage can last from few days to weeks. Old hairs fall out (about 50–100 per day) as new ones grow in.
